Trains to Manchester Oxford Road and Manchester Piccadilly stations run regularly and are within a short distance from the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology (John Garside Building) that houses the facility.

Parking is available upon request at the Sir Peter Mansfield Imaging Centre.

Public transport 

Trains to Nottingham train station run regularly.

Trams directly link Nottingham University campus to the train station and Nottingham city centre, with stops at University Park, Queen's Medical Centre and King's Meadow Campus.

Car 

Parking is available at the Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry car park on Lensfield road. A parking space must be requested in advance. Paid parking is also available at the Queen Anne Terrace Car Park (Gonville Pl, Cambridge CB1 1ND) located about a 10 minute walk from the Department.

Public transport

Trains to Cambridge train station run regularly.

The Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry is a short (15 minute) walk or bus ride from the train station.
